The team collaborate to ensure we meet the information needs of serving personnel and veterans; RIFT employees wishing to become an Armed Forces Reservist or Adult Cadet Volunteer; and other Kent based businesses who wish to become involved.

Armed Forces Tax Refunds – averaging £3,000 for 4-year claims

RIFT Military Engagement Days – linking businesses and employees with the military, raising awareness of benefits
Supporting ABF The Soldiers’ Charity – corporate sponsorship and raising awareness of military charity causes

HEAD OF ARMED FORCES LIAISON OFFICERShaun Micallef-Green

Shaun joined the Army as a private soldier at the age of 21 and having worked through the ranks was eventually commissioned into the AGC(ETS) as an Officer and teacher.

He directly coordinates and supports the military liaison activity for RIFT, working closely with Astra Fraser, the RIFT Armed Forces Liaison Officer, attending a number of unit events, designed to raise tax awareness within the community.

Before RIFT Astra was in the Royal Army Medical Corps, which she’d joined in 1999 as a Combat Medical Technician. Prior to that, she’d been in the TA Princess of Wales Royal Regiment while studying Art and Design at Hastings College.
